I hope everyone is having a very enjoyable summer!  The 2018 NORTH TEXAS HICKORY OPEN is scheduled and ready to receive entries. The No. 2 course at Sherrill Park GC in Richardson, Texas will host the event (http://www.sherrillparkgolf.com/). The course is perfect yardage for hickory play, and has lots of character with water, trees, doglegs, and elevation changes….and it’s in fantastic condition. A Trade Show and Putting Tournament kicks off the event on Thursday evening. Please call the Pro Shop to arrange Thursday practice rounds. The individual stroke play format will include both gross and net awards in the Open, Senior, Statesman, & Ladies divisions. The low gross winner of the Open division will be crowned as Tournament Champion. We will also have a fun four-person Scramble Team division.
So, what you look forward to? How about beautiful trophies, framed prints, raffle prizes, great food, fabulous outfits, two days of hickory play, great weather, and wonderful fellowship.

Rates for the North Texas Hickory Open are $109 for Wed. Oct. 17; and $99 for Thurs.-Fri. Oct. 18 and 19.

We had such a GREAT event with everyone last year, and are very excited for the 2018 NTHO this fall. Invite your friends and spread the word. If you are not sure about the hickory game, not to worry. Play the fun scramble and enjoy all the activities, stories, and great people. Bill Reed, founder of the Hickory Golf Association, past president of the Golf Collectors Society and chief organizer of the Heart of American Hickory Championship will be our keynote speaker. Bill is also bringing several rental sets of hickory clubs, which are only $35 for both days of the tournament. Thank you, Bill!
