One of the most active hickory golf groups in the nation is the Florida Hickory Golfers, led by Mike Stevens and supported, vigorously, by a cast of dozens of enthusiastic members. Stevens is no stranger to the pen/keyboard either, having authored numerous articles for the United States Golf Teacher’s Federation among others, including the SoHG. He recently sent an account of the FHG’s outing at Winter Park GC in Winter Haven to Golf Central, a Florida golf magazine.
