Crisp temperatures and sunny skies greeted nearly 90 players for the 13th annual Ames Silversmithing Hickory Classic, held Sept. 29 at Ames Golf and Country Club in Ames, Iowa.

Host and Tournament Director Gary Youngberg of Ames played steady golf, himself carding three birdies and a lone bogey for a solid 2-under par 69. That sizzling performance was followed by Connor Power from Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, with a 72.

Pat Ryan, a first time hickory player, won the second flight; Wendy Young won the third flight; and Will Youngberg won the 4th flight.
