The 5th annual SUNFLOWER Hickory Match-Play was contested and enjoyed by all on a beautiful spring day on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Falcon Lakes Golf Course in Basehor, Kan. This two-person team match play event is a scramble in which the 12 winners all received gold medals with the rest being awarded silver medals for their efforts. This year drew 24 players from five states. According to tournament director Mike Needleman “ Yes, in Kansas, we play hickory golf!”
