Hickory Golf News

The 2026 Spring Matches of the Bon-Air golfers is one of the highlights of the early hickory golf season in the south. This year’s competition was on April 18, the Saturday following The Masters. The event is played at the Donald Ross-designed Washington-Wilkes C.C. in Washington, Ga., about 15 miles or so northwest of Augusta. One of the perks of a victory in this event is a free entry fee to the National Hickory Championship. This year’s champ, Karl Nagy, will get the “golden ticket.”
