Hickory Golf News

Oct. 21, 2017
Royal Copenhagen Golf Club

Christian Juel reports: We had a great day at Royal Copenhagen Golf Club, although the autumn weather could have shown us a little more politeness. We had a slow drizzling rain for most of the day, however, some great golf was played. Claes Armå from Sweden, who also won in Rye, showed that he is a great player. Rain is absolutely no hindrance for a guy who comes from the most rainy part of Sweden. Gross 73 was just enough to secure his 2nd Danish Championship title. Runner up as was a newcomer in hickory world, former European Tour player Andreas Hartø, who had his first hickory round. Even though he scored a solid 74 to lose by one stroke to Claes. Once again our trophy goes to Sweden.

Lady winner was Britta Nord (again) – a big thanks to Britta for coming and playing some great golf in Copenhagen.

A big thanks to everyone for participating and for making our yearly tournament possible.

The winners in the 2017 Danish Hickory Open.
