Hickory Golf News

Oct. 16, 2017
Miracle Hill, GC, Omaha, Neb.

Played on Oct. 15, this was the first Hickory Classic at Miracle Hill Golf Course. It was a Ryder cup format with six holes of best ball, six holes in shamble, and six holes alternate shot. Dave Brown served as tournament director and McIntyre Golf Ball Company sponsored the event. Twenty-eight players turned out, including two who were new to hickory golf. The new event was received very positively by the players and the competition was close. Ties went to the best scores on each segment. We are already planning next year’s events and this one looks to be a keeper, says Kevin Cawley of the Nebraska Hickory Golf Association.
