The Heart of America is the oldest continuously held hickory tournament in the world. Originated in 1978 by GCS president and Iowa resident Warren “Ole” Olson, the players in this long-standing tournament are a literal “who’s who” in the playing of modern hickory golf and traditions.
The event includes a practice round on Friday followed by a reception and dinner. Saturday’s round is with tee times beginning at 10 a.m. Golf is followed by a tournament reception and dinner at the clubhouse, with trade show tables and a cash bar.
The Sunday round is an early shotgun start at 8 a.m. for all divisions followed by a pizza/salad buffet and awards.
