Stan Spring reports: “This past Saturday, April 6, the first annual historic City Park Hickory Golf tournament was held in Baton Rouge, La. Â I’ve posted some photos of the event which took place on the City Park Golf Course designed and constructed in 1928 as a links/parkland course by Tom Bendelow, the Johnny Appleseed and dean of U.S. golf architecture. The event was also a memorial played in honor of the late Bobby Duhe, a long-time supporter and past-president of the board of City Park. The tournament culminated with a gala Saturday night attended by the mayor who presented a proclamation making April 6 Bobby Duhe Day.
