The 2020 Michiana Hickory Open is a GO! The venue is the South Bend Country Club, designed by George O’Neil in 1916. It hosted the Western Open in 1935 and is a section qualifier for the U.S. Open. Tommy Armour called it “the sweetheart golf course of the Midwest.”
Chair Jim Jeselnick is excited to welcome back all past participants as well as any new participants to this very popular event. Thanks to the help of member Spike Abernethy, we had a great turn out last year for this event that attracted several SBCC members. There will not be a formal trade show but participants are welcome to bring any items for trade or to sell and tables on their porch will be used to display their “treasures.” Food and beverages will be available for purchase in the clubhouse. A brief awards ceremony will be held following the event to pass out medals and prizes. Social distancing guidelines will be strictly observed.
