SoHG member John Gillespie is a pastor at the Westbrook Church in Overland Park, Kansas. When time allows, the good pastor is often on the local golf courses with his favorite bag of hickories. Somehow, word of his game got to the newsroom of KCTV5, Kansas City’s news leader. Sports Producer Neal Jones filed a report on the “retro” game as played by Gillespie. Great fun to see how the local news reports on hickory golf. Jones even got some footage of golf clubs being made a Louisville Golf, which made the clubs Gillespie uses.
