Patric Andersson invites all hickory players for two days of hickory golf at his club of Bro Balsta:

I would like to inform you about to a weekend of hickory golf tournaments that we organize at my golf club, Bro-Bålsta Golf Club, in June 2 – 3. Bro-Bålsta GC is the home course of Annika Sörenstam. It is about 40 km west of Stockholm and about 40 minutes drive from the airport of Arlanda.

We are organizing two hickory golf tournaments that are very popular and annually attract some 70 – 85 participants: Stig-Helmer Competition and Bro-Bålsta Hickory Open. Stig-Helmer Competition was founded in 2014 when Bro-Bålsta Golf Club held the Swedish Hickory Championship. The name “Stig-Helmer” originates from a Swedish movie character played by the cherished actor, film director, musician and artist, Lasse Åberg. Stig-Helmer Competition is a stroke-play greensome tournament and played in both gross and net categories. Bro-Bålsta Hickory Open is medal competition in gross and net categories. It was played for the first time in 2007, making it the third oldest Swedish hickory golf tournament in modern time.
