The summer survey asked members to provide their interest in returning to a bi-annual Wee Nip magazine, such as the Society produced for 14 years before joining with the Golf Heritage Society to include our Wee Nip in two of its quarterly magazines (Spring and Autumn), titled The Golf. The idea was to encourage the members of the two similar societies to become more acquainted with one another.
That magazine, The Golf, is posted online and on this website each spring and autumn when our pages are included. Check out the Wee Nip page to see the latest. You will see links to all the past editions, too.
The survey was emailed to all 481 members on the active list at the time. Only 83 responded. That’s 17 percent. We had hoped for more, but so it goes. Click here to see the total results.
Those results will be considered by the SoHG board for a decision as to whether to return to a stand-alone magazine or continue in the pages of The Golf. They meet twice more before the end of the year, so we when they do reach a decision, we will share the news on the website and in one of the upcoming e-newsletters.
