Wisconsin’s annual Pay it Forward Charity Challenge believes one good deed deserves another. Proceeds have benefited numerous charitable causes as determined by each individual player. There is no boundary, some choose financial while others prefer acts of kindness or both.

This year was no different and the players were generous as usual for our Aug. 1-2, golf outing. The weather shone and the nine-hole Thornberry Creek at Oneida’s Iroquois course was in ideal shape and well-suited for the golf era of your choosing. Some players chose the challenge of featheries, some played gutties and the rest knocked around modern balls of Haskell ancestry.  

Playing from traditional sand buckets and specially cut holes in front of the regular greens, most of the 25 players embraced the special event by dressing in clothing representing the eras. Check the photos on the PDF link below.

Event host Wall Koss recognized four players who have contributed over and beyond to the growth of hickory golf over the past 20 years – Doc Eike, Ernie Ernst, Ken Holtz and our beloved photographer and organizer, Jenn Koss Conger.
