Hickory Golf News

Ohio golf professional Jason Kronenberger shows just why he loves gutty golf and the NHC with a third title at the National Hickory Championship over the June 8-10 weekend. He also won the title in 2021 and 2023. Foxburg hickory legend Tom Johnson came in second and the SoHG’s VP Joey Piatek completed the top three spots. It was a challenging day at The Mound Golf course in Miamisburg, Ohio, but Kronenberger bested the lot.

What’s next for the NHC? Winds of change are in the air. this was the 26th year of the iconic championship and Czar Pete Georgiady has hinted that retirement from hosting the event is a desirable thing at this point. We hope he will find a suitable successor, one that doesn’t mind filling such capable shoes.

Host, founder and organizer of the National Hickory Championship Pete Georgiady shares a few casual words during a post-round gathering at the Mound Golf Course.
