For its first Virginia Hickory Open, the Virginia Hickory Golf Assoc. has chosen a beautiful course in Capon Springs that dates to 1936. The play is to be on the Stableford format. Players are invited to come and make it a mini-vacation as the May dates should prove a beautiful time to be in West Virginia.

Practice rounds are scheduled for Friday, May 18. The tournament rounds begin with tee times on Saturday, and a shotgun start on Sunday. Cost per player is $475. That includes a complete package of:

Lodging Friday and Saturday
Practice Round(s) Friday with Cart usage
Tournament Rounds Saturday and Sunday with Cart usage
Two meals Friday (lunch and dinner)
